In Penang, yam rice is often sold by Yong Tau Foo hawkers and its the very reason why I fell in love with it because I am a huge fan of Yong Tau Foo. Certainly, there's no claypot used to cook it. My first attempt turned out really well surprisingly, not only did the yam rice looked appetizing, it also tasted & yammy (cant resist the pun).
